Essex couples planning to tie the knot are being invited to get in touch with reality TV producers to win their wedding for free – with one small snag: the groom gets to plan everything.
Reality show Don’t Tell The Bride is calling on Essex couples to sign up for the upcoming series of the show, which will air on E4 rather than Sky 1 in the future.
The Daily Gazette and Essex County Standard reports that local couples are being recruited for the new series, in which they will receive £14,000 towards the cost of their wedding. The catch? The groom plans the nuptials in just three weeks without any input from the bride.
To date, the show has filmed the adventures of couples around the country as grooms plan for their big day in just a few weeks. Everything from choosing the perfect wedding dress to finding an Essex catering hire company with short notice availability will be left in the capable hands of the groom – with varying levels of success.

Meanwhile, the next series will be broadcast over the coming weeks and promises many nail-biting moments, as well as plenty of tears and all the usual tantrums, trials and tribulations.
Among the highlights of the July series will be a wedding on a pig farm and a groom who thinks a bright pink leotard will be the perfect wedding outfit for his bride.
